South Georgia. 1929 (Feb 14) Registered cover sent by the Falkland Islands Governor Sir Arnold Hodson from South Georgia, self addressed to Government House in Port Stanley, franked by vertical marginal pair of 2 1/2d on 2d provisional surcharges (S.G. 115, £2,600 as stamps) tied by "SOUTH GEORGIA" c.d.s, bearing South Georgia registration label 36 and accompanied by the original Certificate of Posting. A fine use of this scarce provisional surcharge, which was used on South Georgia from 7th - 22nd February during a shortage of regular 2 1/2d stamps, with B.P.A Certificate (1970).   1798 (July 5) Entire letter on printed notepaper of Captain Vilmain of the Armee D'Angleterre, addressed to Lille, endorsed "Service Militaire", the reverse with partial official handstamp. Piece torn from seal area, with no loss of text or address. The Army of England was formed in January 1798 with the intention of invading England, a project later abandoned by its commander Napoleon Bonaparte. Mail from the Army of England is scarce. £200-240
