It is required for Official purposes only. Head Postmaster of Liverpool, 15/2/51", the reverse with boxed "Found at Liverpool / without a cover" (altered in manuscript to "without contents"). An interesting and unusual cover, the "Open" handstamp of Liverpool issued to that office about 100 years before its use on this cover. £80-120

Addressed to Bareilly, redirected to Umballa and then to "H. Force" (?), backstamps include "FIELD P.O No. 5" c.d.s. This F.P.O used at the Camp of Exercise held near Delhi in December 1885 - January 1886; Proud only recorded a single example. Opening faults and small repair at upper edge otherwise fine. £100-120
