Click to view full image... 1940 Cover from L.R Thompson, a British volunteer at Korpilahti, and covers to or from F/M Duckworth, one of 16 RAF ground crew who were allowed to resign and go to Finland as employees of the Gloster Aircraft Co., to service aircraft. All three with British and Finnish censors, the cover from G.B to Duckworth at "K.P.K 16, 5928" and forwarded to the Finnish Legation at Stockholm with a unit cachet applied. Also a letter from the Finnish Aid Bureau in London to a British volunteer. An unusual lot. 227 British volunteers went to Finland. (4). Photo on Page 69. £180-220

  Australia. 1943 6d Air Mail Fee P.O.W postal stationery postcard from Dhurringile Camp, Victoria, to Germany, Australian and German censors and a Melbourne c.d.s. Sent by Lt. Ahl, seaplane pilot on the German raider "Kormoran" which was sunk off Western Australia in November 1941 by H.M.A.S "Sydney", which itself sank in the battle with the loss of all the crew. Click to view full image... Jewish Battalion - Vladimir Jabotinsky. 1919 (Jan 11) Stampless O.A.S cover signed by Jabotinsky, addressed by him to "Misses B and N. Berline, V.A.D, 69 General Hospital, EEF, Belah", with A.P.O SZ47 skeleton of Sarona. Jabotinsky first proposed the formation of a Jewish unit for service in Palestine, and served in the 38th Batt.
