1933 15fils Air letter sheet overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red, the stamp additionally handstamped "SPECIMEN" in violet (Samuel type BEC 2), applied by the Bechuanaland Post Office upon receipt from the U.P.U. World War Two Forces Mail. 1939-55 Covers and cards with British, Indian or US F.P.O and A.P.O cancellations, the majority from 1942-45 with a few post-war items included. The fine collection includes items bearing Indian, G.B or Iraq stamps and stampless mail, honour envelopes, India forces stationery, airmail and registered covers, many scarce F.P.O numbers and some unusual censor cachets, also a few pieces and stamps. This collection provided much of the information used for the Iraq listings in Edward Proud's books on Indian and British army postal services.
