1865 (Feb 13) Mechanical valentine lettersheet published by Dean & Son of London with a printed handpainted picture of a boy and dog on steps in front of a fine house, a handpainted girl holding a doll then applied over this, a paper tag allowing one to walk the girl down the street. An unusual card with a printed verse below, enclosed within a cover franked 1d, posted from London to "Miss E. Howard, The Horse Shoe Hotel, Royston, Herts" with circular "MORE TO / PAY / W" and a "2" charge mark. The cover with edge faults, the card fine. £140-180

Churchill" in ink, with a copy of the letter sent by Lady Wise to Churchill. The Churchill letter lightly folded, otherwise a fine unfaded example of Churchill's autograph, signed whilst Chancellor of the Exchequer. £400-500

Banknotes. 1808-09 Salisbury and Shaftsbury Bank notes for £1 (2), £5 (2) or £10 issued at Salisbury, or for £10 (2) issued at Shaston, all with a handstamp on reverse stating that they were exhibited in 1810 at a commission of bankruptcy held against Bowles, Ogden and Wyndham (the directors of the bank and signatories on the notes).
