The seal torn away resulting in the loss of part of the flap, otherwise fine and very scarce from Papho. Polymedia and Headquarters Camp. 1864-79 1d Red plate 104 with "D47" cancel of Polymedia Camp and plates 171 with "D48" cancels of Headquarters Camp (2). These numerals were issued to these Cyprus offices in January 1881, after G.B stamps had ceased to be valid in Cyprus, and are therefore no longer listed by S.G. However a number of examples of both numerals are known on G.B 1d reds, which were probably used on soldiers letters sent at the 1d concession rate. Three very scarce cancels. (3).
