Mint and used stamps all showing plate flaw 4, that occurs in four positions on the sheet, all additionally showing the overprint variety no stop from position 9 of the overprint forme of ten stamps, this combination of stamp and overprint varieties only occurring on sheet positions 29 and 79. The scarce group comprising setting IA 6ch within a pair (8/9) mint, 6ch and 24ch within a pair (9/10) used, setting IB 9ch mint and 1kr (2) used, setting IIB 2ch mint, the used 6ch and one 1kr a little stained, otherwise mainly fine. The 24ch pair also showing variety damaged "BUS" on position 10. Just 23 examples of the 1kr possible with this combination of varieties and 18 examples of 24ch pair, this pair with B.P.A Certificate (2015). S.G. £1,910. (9). Photo on Page 87. £500-700

Mint and used stamps with overprint position 4 comprising settings IA 2ch, 9ch, 24ch and 10kr mint, setting IB 24ch mint, setting IIA 1ch used, also a very faulty mint 10ch from setting IIIA, and setting IB 2ch mint with overprint position 6. This flaw appears on sheet positions 24, 29, 74 and 79, the position 4 overprints therefore being stamps 24 or 74; the rare anomalous position 6 overprint proves that some overprints must have been applied to single stamps and not in a complete strip of ten stamps as usually occurred. Plate Flaws 2, 3 and 4. 1915 (Nov 11) Registered cover to Karachi bearing 3ch (IC8), 6ch pair (IA, left stamp with flaw 3 which only occurs on sheet position 73, right stamp with flaw 4) and 9ch (IB8), plate flaw 2 also appearing on the 3ch, 9ch and left 6ch stamp, all cancelled by Bouchir (Depart) datestamps. The 9ch pair also tied by circular violet "PASSED CENSOR / 1 / KARACHI", with violet boxed Bouchir registration handstamp, backstamped at Karachi. Only 40 examples possible of the 6ch flaw 3 or flaw 4 from position 74. Some perf stains, otherwise fine and an exceptional cover, rare registered to an overseas destination. A small number of Chancellerie overprints formed part of the reported issue of 687 2kr overprints during the British Occupation; although these were issued as fiscal stamps and so are unlisted by S.G. they are believed to have been used for postage by the British Post Office.
