1930 (Aug 7) Cover from Limassol to Sweden franked 2½pi, taken by sea to Alexandria and then flown by Imperial Airways, the first official air mail from Cyprus, just 36 covers carried; and 1930 (Sep. 25 and Oct. 16) covers franked 2½pi from Limassol to England flown on the second and fourth experimental flights from Famagusta to Haifa and Alexandria. Just five experimental flights directly from Famagusta occurred in 1930; no mail was carried on the first of these, and as few as 20 covers are believed to have been carried on some of the other four flights.
