1827 (Feb 11) Entire letter from Edinburgh to Kelso with "HANOVER / STREET" handstamp, the address panel endorsed "Berwick & Kelso Railroad", the letter concerning shares in the railroad. A very early reference to railways, just two years after the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. £150-180

1874 Cover to Aylesbury endorsed "immediate Per G.W Rail" and sent as a railway parcel, the reverse with a large white G.W.R parcel stamp from Thame, a fine and attractive early railway 'parcel'. Photo on Page 162. £180-200
