  1913-18 Sultan Khalifa bin Harub postal stationery, wrappers (5), postcards (10), reply cards (5), envelopes (3) and letter cards (7), with Specimen overprints, unused and used, including the rare 6c envelope commercially used to London (H&G11), 3c postcard to Germany bearing three 1c stamps, 12c on 6c postcards used (2), etc., all fine.   1913-18 Sultan Khalifa bin Harub, registration envelopes comprising 1913 12c size F Specimen, size J used to Japan franked 25c or to G.B franked 6c (with boxed "TOO LATE"); 1918 20c on 12c size F unused or used to Austria franked 1c pair + 6c strip of three, size J unused or used to G.B franked 1c (2) + 12c; 1918 20c size F unused or used to Germany franked by two 10c stamps, size J Specimen or unused. A good group, all fine, the size J envelopes scarce used with very few examples of the 20c on 12c envelope recorded used. (11). £400-500

  1940-43 World War Two period covers including airgraph and an unused airgraph form with reverse instructions headed "Zanzibar Protectorate", 1940 Lourenco Marques to Zanzibar first flight (20 flown), horseshoe route covers to England franked 1/25, 2/50 or 3/75, or to the USA franked 2/- with British censorship in Bermuda, registered cover to USA via Leopoldville franked 6/30, cover to Argentina franked 2/-, cover from Switzerland to Zanzibar, etc. Also a 1932 cover to England flown by Imperial Airways from Dodoma (delayed 2 days by forced landing in a sand storm south of Wadi Halfa), and 1935 cover from Kampala to Zanzibar franked 2/95.   1946-64 Covers and cards, the interesting collection on pages, various rates and destinations, including 1947 registered cover to China, registered cover franked 4/- to USA with Weti registration handstamp, 1948 cover from Chake Chake, cover to USA with scarce "BY AIR TO LONDON ONLY" (not recorded by Proud), air letters to Canada with scarce "PAR AVION ZANZIBAR A LONDON" (Proud AM8, subsequently crossed out) or similar endorsement, several pilot signed covers, 1961 and 1964 covers to Europe with oval framed or violet boxed "O.A.T / F.S", 1964 (Jan 27) cover to Kenya with 20c pair both with the Sultan's portrait crossed through in pen, 1964 (Feb 11) air letter to Pemba with 15c handstamped "JAMHURI 1964" and a pen cross through the Sultan's portrait, etc. Also a few incoming covers with 1947 registered cover from Yugoslavia, and 1954 commercial cover from Cyprus with 1½p pair + 9p cancelled "APOSTOLOS ANDREAS / RURAL / POSTAL / SERVICE".
