All listed stamp issues unmounted mint and used are included with many on cover, also numerous surcharge issues (most unlisted, some unrecorded) with many errors, including postal use of Belgian Congo stamps after June 1960 with mixed Belgian Congo/Republic of Congo frankings; numerous Congo overprint varieties including overprint omitted within multiples, inverted, double, triple and quadruple overprints, incorrect colour overprint; surcharges from 1960 and 1964 with numerous major varieties including inverted or double surcharges or value deletion bars, deleted values with surcharges then omitted, surcharges on incorrect values; 1966 WHO and 1967 O.A.U overprints and new currency surcharges with many major varieties and postal forgeries; 1968-70 local surcharges with essays, surcharges on incorrect stamps and incorrect types, surcharges omitted or inverted; imperf stamp issues; Zaire issues from 1971 with postal use showing inflation, resulting in many provisional surcharges from 1977 with further numerous errors, unissued 4k surcharge proofs used on cover, unofficial and manually applied surcharges, inverted surcharges with postal use on cover; covers with increasingly large frankings and further surcharged issues showing the increasing hyper inflation of the 1980/90s with many more surcharge varieties, whole tranches of earlier issues being surcharged locally from 1990 onwards with value up to 10 Million Z in October 1993; new currency stamps and surcharges from 1994 (at 1 NZ = 3,000,000 Z) with covers showing the continued inflation, further surcharges with major varieties, essay surcharges, covers until 1996 sent in the final months before the collapse of the Mobuto regime, and indeed the postal service. An astonishing collection which must be viewed to be fully appreciated, many rare stamps produced in very small quantities, major errors, and covers showing proper postal use.
