Click to view full image... 1907 1d Horizontal marginal pair, vertical watermark, variety overprint reading upwards, the left stamp additionally with double overprint (the left overprint with about one third on the left margin, two thirds on the left stamp), each cancelled by 1908 (Jan 10) Port Moresby c.d.s. Just two sheets of thirty stamps overprinted sideways in error, nearly half the stamps having an incomplete overprint and no more than ten stamps with the double overprint variety. The upper five rows in each sheet were cancelled to order at Port Moresby on this same day. This pair adjoins the vertical strip of four sold in the Tim Rybak collection in 2008.
