Confirmed as a pair only, he received a Mention in Despatches LG 8/7/1919 Page 8755 Gazette 31446. His Oak Leaf Emblem is not present.Commissioned 2/Lt 26th April 1915 in the 18th Service Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers.Promoted to Lt on the 23rd July 1916. Retired from the Army 1920.The Battalion was raised at Bury in January 1915. They landed in France in January 1916, at Le Havre. early in 1917 it ceased to be a Bantam Battalion.£40-60
