The medals are mounted court style.The British Medical Journal dated 6.6.1942 states 'Squadron Leader Gordon Primrose Smith R A F V R received the OBE (Military Division) in the New Years Honours. His name was missed when the lists were published in January, because his degrees MB. Ch. B.Ed were not included in the official entry in the London Gazette.The London Gazette 8/7/1947.   A 'CIVILIAN's GULF WAR GROUP OF THREE MEDALS etc.A Gulf War medal with bar 16 Jan to 28th Feb 1991, named to Mr G W Kimberley BAE. An Omani Peace Medal, also Glorius Fifteenth National Day Medal 1985, awarded to Warrant Officer Kimberley Sultan of Omans Air Force. Also a certificate from the Saudi Royal Air Force. Graham W Kimberley participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm (August 1990-March 1991). Variuos photographs of planes Hunters & Jet Provost's/Jaguars and Graham Kinberley, etc. Also his epauletteAfter 16 years service in the Royal Air Force, he left to take up a position with the Royal Saudi Air Force in 1973. He left to join the Sultan of Omans Air Force in 1981 to take up a position as Warrant Officer, serving in the Dhofar region during the Communist incursions. Hence the award of the two Omani Medals.In 1986 he left this post to return to the Royal Saudi Air Force, again a s a Warrant Officer. It was here he served throughout Desert Storm and the Kuwait/Iraq war, for which he received his Gulf War Medal.£300-400

Also a scrap album with letters and POW documents regarding absolute obedience to the Japanese 'Dai Nippon Gun'.Sailing to first Africa thence Java where surrender upon arrival took place, 3rd March 1942.Prison Camp notices, Tandjon Priok Camp and British Orders to bow when the Japanese are present etc. Any Prisoners sitting when a Japanese Officer appeared were to leap to attention and salute in the prescribed manner.Letter and notes from other fellow Prisoners from Australia etc, he received after the Japanese Surrender. How to rejoin civilian life monies due, etc.Repatriated Prisoners of War in Canada on the way home, behaviour etc. Official paperwork for his Returned POW's etc.£100-150

Issue 37119.Captain of HMS Motorised Minesweeper 65 Pennant J565, launched July 1942. CO from September 1944 until January 1945, sold to Turkey in 1946.MMS 65 Launched in 1943, CO from the 11th April 1945 until 20th February 1946. Pennant number J 772. Both vessels were Class 1 Minesweepers.£400-500

1939/45 Star, France & Germany Star, War Medal, General Service Medal bar Palestine 1945-48 named to 14426791 Pte G C Stroud R.U.R. Territorial Efficiency Medal bar T & A V R (QEII issue) named to S Sgt G C Stroud RE. Boxed Normandy Medal with miniature numbered 17101. Boxed Voluntary Service Medal named to Pte G C Stroud Wilts RegtStaff Sergeant Stroud volunteered for service in the Wiltshire Regiment, taking part in the D Day Landings. In the campaign to liberate Europe he was wounded by a gunshot to the hip. Sent home he upon recovery transferred to the Royal Ulster Rifles, serving in the Palestine Campaign.Serving in the Territorial Army after the war in the Royal Engineers, awarded his TEM with post 1969 ribbon.The first five medals are mounted for wear.£300-400

  A NAVAL BRIGADE 1914 STAR & ROYAL FLEET RESERVE LSGC GROUP.A 1914 Star with Rosette on the ribbon, named to R.M.A 13976 Pte S E Carew R M Brigade. British War & Victory Medals named to R.M.A. 13976 Gnr S E Carew. A George V Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service Good Conduct Medal, named to R.M.A 13976 (Ply B 1911) S E Carew Marine R.F.R.Stanley Eli Carew enlisted in Bristol aged 17 years in 1914. He served on among others HMS Royal Sovereign which was commissioned to late to take part in the Battle of Jutland. Admiral John Jellicoe ordered her to remain at anchor, her crew not considered up to scratch, due to limited training time only. She served with the Fleet for the rest of the War, seeing service also between the wars. In WWII she was loaned to the Soviets and returned almost as only fit for scrap.He served until 1936 and his documents of service and ships postcards, are included in the lot. Including the loss of the ships cat 'Ginger' Drowned at Sea 20th July 1917. 'A late Shipmate' who was loved by all.Crew of the ship and Ships Entertainment etc.£300-400

British War & Victory Medals named to Capt H M Heppell. A 1911 Coronation Medal privately named to Sgt Heppell Blundells OTC. A 1939/45 Star & War Medal in addressed box of issue, to Mjr H M Heppell OBE (Army Medal Office-War Office).Born on the 5th April 1893 in Somerset, the son of E M Heppell he was educated at Blundells School.He was Commissioned 2/Lt in the 11th Battalion of the Essex Regiment 22nd January 1913. He was Adjudant of the Battalion 14th September 1914.Served in France & Flanders from 31st July 1915, until the 26th September 1915. Placed on the Staff in the War Office 16th December 1915, he was again in France & Flanders from the 9th February 1918 until after the Armistice.Wounded and Mentioned in Despatches London Gazette 20/12/1918.His address for his Great War medals in November 1921 was The School of Physical Training, Hdqtrs Gymnasium, Queens Avenue, Aldershot. He was Adjudant of the 5th Territorial Battalion the Essex Regiment in the 1931 Army List. Retiring in 1932 he volunteered for service in 1939.A H Heppell played Rugby for Clifton RFC in 1912-13, further research to confirm it was him is required.His Post War address for his medals was Lyndhurst in Hants.£300-400

British War & Victory Medals named to 15394 Pte E Addicott R.Fus.Edward Addicott was born 11/7/1889 at Goathurst Somerset. He served in Theatre 2b from the 24/10/1915.In March 1917 he was admitted to Hospital (34 CCS) with Pleurisy (Dangerously Ill) and transferred to Sick Convoy ten days later.Complete with a photograph of him in uniform and RBL badges/Observer Corps badge. He died in 1971.£80-120
