Click to view full image... A YEOVIL & WINCANTON BANK FIVE POUND NOTE 18— A Henry Whitmarsh and Wm Lambert White Yeovil and Wincanton Bank unused or dated Five Pound note. Circa early 19thC in style, the Bank ran from Circa 1795 under different partners names. 1813 until 1818 under Whitmarsh (Coaches and Glovers) and Lambert White (Solicitor) with Wincanton closing first. Thence taken over by Stuckeys Bank in the 1830's.. £70-90

  AN RFC GT WAR MEDAL & 25th LONDON CYCLISTS TD etc. A British War medal named to Capt T H Vitty RFC. Thomas Henry Vitty resided at Northlake House, Kew Gardens, Surrey. He served as a Territorial Officer in the 4th Company London Electrical Engineers. Promoted Lieutenant in 1910, he was transferred during the Great War in an MIEE Flying Commission to the Royal Flying Corps Technical Branch. Later Temp Major RAF. A Victory Medal named to Major M H Easton. A Territorial Officers Decoration with hallmarks for London 1921, also an unnamed Defence Medal. The four mounted for wear, possibly related by marriage and mixed up some time ago. Both officers were from London and in the Territorial Force at the same time. Malcolm Henry Easton was serving in the 25th Battalion London Cyclists Regiment, spending 2 years and five months in India in the Gt War. At one time an officer in the London CC. A matching miniature group of four, mounted for wear. An Edward VII Royal Engineers Officers Cap Badge in white metal, also a 'turning wheel' officers bronze RA cap badge, etc. £100-150

Squadron Serjeant Major Fred Wallis served with his Regiment the 7th Dragoon Guards in France from 13th October 1914. (Entitled Star & Clasp). He also served in the Corps of Dragoons and in the 7th Dragoons under number D/20464. He later served with his Regiment in Iraq, he was awarded the General Service Medal with clasp Iraq 4th April 1924. His addresses were given as c/o Mrs Steane, 19 Melling Road, Bootle Liverpool and later 7 Goodwin Road, Aintree, Liverpool.
