The second dagger with silver covered mounts and scabbard, with a 7. 1/2" blade, again in a fitted case.   A VICTORIAN OFFICERS SWORD (A A W SPENCER) A Victorian officers sword by Henry Wilkinson of Pall Mall, number 32886. Plated hilt with VR cypher and clean 32" blade, etched with 'A A W Spencer from Major Neary 1894'. On the other side of the blade is 'The West York Regt', also etched foilage and VR under a crown etc. Complete with its brown leather field scabbard. Almeric Arthur William Spencer was the son of Almeric George Spencer born 21st November 1874. After service in the 1st Battalion The West Yorkshire Regt he was in WWI promoted to Lt Colonel and commanded the 1st Battalion the Welsh Regt from 16/10/1915 until 27/11/1916. Then the 1st Battalion Yorkshire and Lancashire Regt from the 9/7/1917 until 11/11/1918. Mentioned in Despatches on the occasions LG 1/1/1916 also 20/7/1916 and 28/11/1917 (Salonika Despatches). Awarded the Legion d'Honneur 5th Class in LG 12/12/1919 Page 15578. Served in Kurdistan and awarded a GSM & Kurdistan Clasp 16/9/1925. Married 1st in 1907 Sybil Lavia daughter of Fredrick William Lawson (Divorced 1927) 2nd Marriage to Charlotte Parker daughter of the Reverend John Leslie Parker on the 22nd July 1930. Died aged 59 years old on the 21st October 1934. Awarded a 1914 Star (landed 5/11/1914). British War & Victory Medals (MID emblem) £150-200
