SPECTACULAR EARLY PICTORIAL POSTCARD USED TO GERMANY WITH 1/2d ROSE-RED FROM LONDON; Fine 26 Sept. 1882 printed Postcard to Hamburg (1/2d Printed Matter rate) with "RICHARD'S HIMSELF AGAIN" title above the address showing the hunchback Richard III at left "11.55 AWFULLY QUEER" and then at right "12 O'CLOCK RIGHT AGAIN"; ranked by a 1/2d Rose-Red (pl.19) tied by two 'Experimental' London Squared Circles. The printed message side advocates the daily use of "HERCULINE! (THE AUSTRALASIAN PICK-ME-UP.)"!! Presumably this was a cure for a hang-over? [Ex Richard Payne; the only item from his famous 1/2d's Collection that he retained when he sold the collection back in the 1990s.] PHOTO - see page 7. £240
