1957 Card bearing three photographic essays, submitted by Harold Bird for the new issue of Zanzibar, the reverse endorsed "Rejected Designs from Crown Agents" and "With the Compliments of the artist, Harold W. Bird", the card then apparently used by Bird as a Christmas card with "Greetings" written on the front and "A Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year" on the reverse. Unique. £120-150

1930 Photographs of essays for 75c and 3r postage due stamp based upon the Hong Kong dues, one dated "9 OCT 1930". "Postage Dues of Zanzibar" by John Griffith-Jones refers to De La Rue's tender for Zanzibar due in 1930 and illustrates a similar 2c photographic essay, but does not record these two designs.
