A FAIRBURN-SYKES FIGHTING KNIFE. A second pattern Fairburn-Sykes fighting knife, complete with brown leather scabbard. Knurled blackened brass hilt with straight quillion stamped with broad arrow and B2 mark. 6.3/4" double-edged blackened blade, also the chafe on the scabbard with leather 'wings'. With photos related to Alex Dale, who originally carried the knife during his military service. Two photographs of an RA officer, mostly 1930's family shots. £170-250

A SET OF W W II PILOTS RAYBAN SUNGLASSES. Cased WWII period blue tinted Rayban sunglasses, worn by the decorated Pilot Flt Lt Bob McLean DFC. He flew the first plane into Japan after the surrender, 'The Spirit of Middlesex' a Dakota. The Far East Transport Squadron he flew in was to consist of some very highly decorated pilots, many with experiences in Lancasters over Berlin. Bob McLean himself brought his Lancaster back when a bomb dropped from a higher flying plane, smashed the nose off his aircraft over Germany. With copy details and wartime photographs of Fl Lt McLean. His Raybans are contained in their original aluminium case, marked B & L, made in the USA. £40-60

A WAKASASHI. A Japanese Wakasashi with 43cm full groove blade, signed Sekishu Sadayoshi Saku. One character has been pierced with a mekugi-ana, when the blade was shortened for later mounts. Menuki of dragons, floral decorated Fuchi and Kashira. The scabbard with highlighted decoration and an old Kozuka fitted, again with dragon decoration. See Illustration £300-400

Barnett was a manufacturer of among other pistols those for use by the Customs. Brass furniture with underslung ramrods, Barnett on the steel actions, both have TG impressed into the stock. A CORONATION STAFF. A 1953 Coronation Staff in Red & Gold, carried by a senior Military Officer during the ceremony. Some 21" overall length with 3.5" red bands on each end. A crown over QEII is on one end, the centre section in gold. Some chipping and scratch marks to the paint is evident. £100-150

A 20 HUSSARS SABRETACHE. A Victorian 20th Hussars Officers Sabretache in a fitted frame. Victorian crown over VR cypher with 21/H inset in the wreath, grey backing with gilt bullion decoration. Between 1861-1897 (21st Hussars) the Regiment was previously the 3rd Bengal Light Cavalry. In 1897-98 it became the 21st lancers, then in 1898 it became The Empress of India's 21st Lancers.
