  Euston Station. 1888 (Apr 1) Euston Parcels Depot orange Parcel Post label, for parcels despatched on the London to Brighton Parcel Coach (therefore without any fees payable to the railway companies) with the very scarce "EUSTON STA. LONDON / PARCELS POST / DEPOT" hooded circle (issued in 1883, four examples recorded in 1884-88). Very scarce, the datestamp used four years after the service was redesignated the Parcel Post.   London. 1819 (Nov 17) Entire letter from London to New York prepaid 1/1 with superb red oval "Post Paid Ship Lr / (crown) / London" (S41), backstamped with the scarce double oval "24 NO 24 / 1819" datestamp (Jay 1424) used in the London Ship Letter Office on mail delayed awaiting a suitable ship (showing the actual sailing date from London).   World War One. 1914-19 Covers with a good range of F.P.O datestamps, all with enclosed letters from two Officers to their mother or wife at the same address in Hove, mainly from the Western front, a few posted in England or Salonica, the letters worthy of reading and research, all self censored with a couple of letters from early in the war in 1914 noted with very good content on the war (which would certainly have been censored if written by a private soldier), also a few earlier and later covers and letters.
