John Smithurst" who was an early Missionary in charge of the Red River Mission at this date, and so addressed to "Church Mission House...London" charged "4[d]" (overweight unpaid rate); the address lightly crossed out there (along with miniature m/s "100" at lower left) for forwarding via the Hudson Bay Co.'s London HQ to York Factory by ship and then forwarded overland to Red River Settlement. . Good contents incl.; "the Lady Day C.M.S. Paper gives...a beautiful engraving of your Mission Premises...". [With photocopy of that engraving on the front page of the C.M.P.
