The postcards make up an extremely fine section including a good proportion of early 20th Century types and incorporate a wide range of sub-themes such as the Falls in winter, the Falls at night, Bridges, (inc. two cards depicting the collapsed Falls View bridge in 1938) & Cableways, etc. The covers include an 1841 EL to Toronto with "NIAGARA" h/s, typed "PAID" & "7" endorsements, pair of p.stat. envs. showing incorrect ("NIAGRA") & correct spellings of the datestamp plus a 1943 env. censored to Lourenco Marques bearing U.S. 25c green (depicting the Falls) which was to spend some 40 years in transit! The ephemera include advertising labels, maps, brochures, guidebooks, etc. to help form a fascinating and highly educational study of the subject.
