There is increasingly a school of thought that such imperfs from plate 25 come from a printing on NEALE'S STEAM PRESS, despite the date of registration of plate 25 'being too late'. (slight dusting) sent locally in London with 1d Red 'Stars' (off-centre & slightly over edge at right) tied by a mainly fine to very fine rare "A/A" (Afternoon) code "LONDON/LONDON" Pearson Hill Experimental Machine cancellation (2nd Type; late date). One of the rarest cancellations to be found on 1d Red 'Stars' issues.
