TWO (ONE IN BLACK) WITH "TOO LATE" MARKS; 1807 Pair of Es from Dublin to London with mainly very fine BLACK 57mm type (a couple of letters have tiny flecks of red, but the matching London c.d.s. - also meant to be red - is also clearly black - ink-pad errors, presumably) or 68mm red type, both partly overstriking mainly fine black Dublin "TOO LATE" mark; plus regular 1808 E from Dublin to Guernsey with mainly v. fin 57mm red type. UNIQUE(?) 43mm TYPE; 1798/99 trio of covers from Dublin to Essex/Bucks./London with different sized London red "IRELAND" marks all on the front; mainly v. fine unrecorded 43mm type (25 May 1798), regular 45mm type (poor) & the giant 68mm type.   UNIQUE(/) MANUSCRIPT "IRELAND" MARKING PLUS PAIR OF GIANT RED 68mm TYPES; Extraordinary 24 Aug. 1799 EL (illust. in CCNY Philatelist, Mar. 2003, p.79) from "Dublin" to London with manuscript "8" charge (correct rate) and - in the same ink? - a Manuscript "IRELAND" marking of which no other example has been recorded (the absence of Dublin or London marks and the writer mentioning that the letter is to go with others from her family may suggest that a member of the family added this endorsement and charge 'for fun' at the time when it was enclosed with another cover (which got the usual backstamps etc.)? Also a trio of PPC 23/July,4 Apr./16 Apr. 1916/1917 sent to the camp from Germany & censored with good Emmerich circular (near the Dutch Frontier) blue cachet's, the first PPC with an oval 'ALIENS' DETENTION CAMP/ CENSORED/KNOCKALOE I.O.M.' violet cachet & the latter pair with good circular 'POST FREE/P.C./PRISONERS OF WAR' cachet in blue.
