  EARLY ARCHIVE OF LETTERS, COVERS INITIALLED "AE", "G" & "E" BY THREE FUTURE KINGS, ETC.; c.1688-1705 group of ELs (all affected by damp; many very fragile etc.) to Exeter (a few to London or Bideford) mainly ex Portsmouth inc. 3 free franked, 10 "by way of Hartford Bridge", almost all with postal rates. Would be good to get them all professionally restored; plus 7 1839 issues of the "Gardeners' Gazette" with some comments on Postal Reforms, 1876/1904/1914 trio of envs. (with QV 1d Red, KEVII 1d or KGV 1d respectively; ex Lynn, Fochabers & Oxford) all addressed and initialled by different Princes of Wales; the 1876 cover (closed tears at top) has the blue "GAME CARD" imprint on the front!). The "e" of the future King Edward VIII is particularly elusive, 1908 PC with autograph of "Anthony Hope Hawkins" - the author of the Prisoner of Zenda. Eclectic lot! (37 items) £200
