Procter of HMS Drake which was apparently at Swatow on at least 10/12 Feb. 1867; with G.B. 6d Mauve (pl.6) tied (clearly in our opinion, though the RPS cert. says "despite lack of tying it is genuine") by a very rare tall "C79" Numeral used on the Mediterranean Mailboat the P&O S.S. Nyanza en route from Egypt to Southampton, having a mainly fine Kingsbridge arrival c.d.s. of 1 June 1867. Exceptional Mailboat Numeral usage; one of only a handful of recorded "C79" covers from the Far East. PHOTO - see page 6. £750
