The partially printed cheque, entirely completed in Porter's hand is drawn on The Peru Trust Company (crossed through by Porter and amended in his hand to The Wabash Valley Trust Co.) and made payable to Linda Porter for the sum of $1000. A perforated bank cancellation and light ink ink marks only very slightly affect Porter's signature.
