1944 US 6c airmail on concessionary rate airmail cover from a member of Marine Torpedo Bombing Squadron 242 (VMTB-242) based at Espiritu Santo, to Carey, Ohio. Naval Censor cachet at lower left. This unit was active throughout the later stages of the War in the pacific including Iwo Jima. £20

1945 New Zealand Airforce cds on a stampless Active Service cover to Wellington. According to the manuscript the envelope originated from the 9th Squadron RNZAF based at Espiritu Santu. This NZAPO (361) was open from 1943 to 1946. Cover crease & minor faults. Interesting cover. £20

1945 WWII: USA 6c stationery envelope sent to Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii by a member of the 105th Infantry (Co B). The 105th were on New Hebrides for R & R before moving up in April to join the vital battles at the end of the Pacific war. Postmarked from APO 27 Feb 21 1945. Censor # 04223 at lower left.
