1880 Engraved facsimile sheet of 32 impressions (8x4), the left and right halves identical, comprising se-tenant rows of 8 of 1847 2d 'POST OFFICE', 1848-59 1d 'POST PAID', early and worn impressions and 1859 2s SHERWIN in orange-vermillion on yellowish card. The four engravings in each half row are derived from a single die but then retouched to produce differences in the portrait/background shading/corner ornaments. C.1880 a prior 'proof' stage in the production of the SENF typographed facsimiles which were presented to readers of the ILLUSTRIERTES BRIEFMARKEN-JOURNAL (see Ibbotson p139).
