  A MAORI CLUB. A Maori Tewhatewha ceremonial hardwood club, measuring 49.3/4" in length. Carved decoration to the middle of the shaft, with mother of pearl disc centres inset amid the layered design. £150-250

  A SIRIONO INDIAN FOOT BOW. A large Foot Bow used by the Siriono Indians of Bolivia, who now number under 400 people. The leaf shaped 93" long bow was used by a native laid on his back, braced by his feet. Some light decoration to the pale wood leaves, each measuring roughly 42". Some distortion due to age, also some light damage evident. £100-150

Both around approximately 58" in length, the leaf shaped blades of some 33" each. Initials (old) carved into them are G J S and HA.M, also two holes for wire mounting are evident. One blade is 5" at its broadest, the other 4.1/2" width. See Illustration £200-300

  A PACIFIC ISLANDS PADDLE. A 19thC paddle of a lighter hue hardwood, measuring 63" overall length. Leaf shaped blade of 39", with cracks and some tip lost, two mounting holes evident. £100-150

  A NORTH AFRICAN POWDER FLASK. A leather covered Bee Hive or conical shaped Moroccan powder flask. Twin ears for carry straps and 11.1/2" high with width of 10.1/2" at its widest. The conical height of 5", with overall decoration. £60-80

A British model 1845/1858 naval cutlass and scabbard, C1850 by Mole of Birmingham. 26.3/4" slightly curved single-edged blade, scabbard of leather with steel mounts and cast iron grips. Scabbard has evident repairs, some rust to the basket hilt. These Cutlasses were originally made and issued in 1845, then modified around 1858. £80-120

Click to view full image... A JAPANESE YARI BLADE DAGGER. A Japanese Yari blade converted to use as a dagger, around the turn of the 19th/20thC. Classical Yari shape with triangular 10.3/4" spearpoint tip, with larger than usual Tsuka. Wrapped hilt bindings of silk string, with brass plain Fuchi & Kashira held in place by two silver discs. The blade has a hollowed central broad fuller on the bottom of the blade, with red filling. The Saya of lacquered angled wave ripples, with silver chafe and Kurigata ring mount, brass throat mount which matches the hilt mounts. See Illustration £400-600

Click to view full image... A KATAR DAGGER WITH SILVER DECORATION. An Indian Katar Dagger with silver foilage Koftkari decoration to the hilt and 'sail' guard. Ball grips inside a steel hilt, one side of the frame lacking 1" to 1.1/2" of the silver sheet wrap. Multi-fullered tapered blade of 11" approx, with some decoration to the double-edged design, finished with a lightly fluted tip. In the 17th/18thC style with velvet knuckle protector and facetted blade mounting. 16.1/2" overall length. See Illustration £250-350

Made by Wilkinson Sword and numbered 64565, owned by the 8th Duke of Leinster with K on the blade. Clean blade and very little deterioration in the inner of the hilt, gold and red sword knot attached. See Illustration £300-400

  A MILITARY PRESENTATION TRAY. A silver tray with hallmarks for Sheffield 1923, approximately 21 ounces in weight. With scroll feet and 9.3/4" x 9.3/4" square form, engraved with Regimental Crest and LXXX below. Captain J A Baillon MC on the occasion of his marriage by the Officers 2nd battalion the South Staffordshire Regt 11th February 1925. Major Gen Joseph Aloysius Baillon CB CBE MC, retired from the Army in 1949 and passed away in 1951. Commissioned into the South Staffordshire Regt in 1915, he was MID in May 1918, awarded the Military Cross LG 2/4/1919. For Conspicuous Gallantry at the advance on Abancourt, where he preceeded his battalion under heavy fire. Leaving the S Staffs in 1931, he was a Staff Officer Middle East then C O G Staff Persia & Iraq 1936-45. MID 23/12/1943. CB 1948, CBE 5/8/1943, OBE 1941, Commander of the Order of the Crown Belgium 1951, also Croix de Gueere avec palme Belgian 1951. £150-200

There is an old Christie's label affixed which appears to be Lot 117, 13/5/50?. A hardwood fighting club, 26.1/2" overall length.
