KESSELRING ALBERT: (1885-1960) German Luftwaffe Generalfeldmarschall of World War II. A series of nine original colour 10.5 x 8 lithographs by the artist Wilhelm Wessel, each showing different scenes within the town of Iserlohn, all signed in pencil by the artist and individually neatly mounted to 12 x 14.5 card. With a tenth lithograph of a more graphic design of Iserlohn. Contained in the original oblong folio presentation folder, with cloth covers, and with a loosely inserted printed introduction to the lithographs, in English. Part of the inside of the presentation folder is boldly signed and inscribed by Kesselring in dark fountain pen ink, 'Major Taylor, as a little prove of my gratitude for your sympathising humanity and for your ideal special treatment during my stay in hospital….in the months of Mary (sic) and June' Signed ('Kesselring', with his rank beneath) and dated Iserlohn, 21st June 1951. Also included is a loosely inserted oblong 8vo sheet bearing Kesselring's holograph notes, in German and English, in part, 'In the 2 World War 2 dignified enemies have been crossing their swords in the Italian country. This judgement looks for opposite understanding, which sees in a joining together of our people being its purpose.' HIMMLER HEINRICH: (1900-1945) Nazi German Politician, Reichsfuhrer of the SS. Book signed, being a folio presentation entitled Kampfstatten der Waffen-SS in Griechenland (The Seat of War of the Waffen-SS in Greece), published by Bruckman, Munich, 1943. The volume contains eleven colour plates, being reproductions of watercolours of pastoral scenes in Macedonia and Greece by German artist Josef Keller-Kuhne. The plates are possibly incomplete and curiously numbered 1 (two different examples), 3, 4, 6 (two different examples), 7, 11, 12, 13 & 16. To the front pastedown appears a calligraphic inscription in blue fountain pen ink, 'SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Konrad Henlein, mit meinen besten Julwunschen, Heil Hitler!', Himmler adding his signature ('H. Himmler') in bold, dark blue fountain pen ink beneath. Dated in a calligraphic hand at the base 21st December 1943. Some slight dampstaining at the base, only affecting the edges of the boards (age toning and slight fraying) and with some light minor foxing to the plates. Light overall age wear, the signed and inscribed pastedown barely affected by any faults. G £300 - 400

ROMMEL ERWIN: (1891-1944) German Field Marshal of World War II. D.S., Rommel, in bold pencil, two pages, Head Quarters, 2nd October 1941, in German. The typed document lists one individual, Heinz Bindseil, as being recommended for the War Merit Cross, 2nd Class with Swords. Signed by Rommel in his capacity as General der Panzertruppen in Africa. Two file holes to the left edge, not affecting the text or signature, otherwise VG £200 - 300

MEYER HUBERT: (1913-2012) German SS-Obersturmannfuhrer of World War II. Collection of three T.Ls.S. and an A.L.S., Hubert Meyer, five pages (total), 4to and the A.L.S. on two sides of a correspondence card, Leverkusen, 4th December 1977 - 2nd April 1979, all to Mr. W. Godward, all in English. Meyer writes, in part, 'I am glad to read, that you and other young Englishmen are not thinking as Mr. Churchill does. He condemned our book before he had seen it…..During the Battle for Normandy, we were fighting against the 46th Royal Marine Commando the 11th of Juni (sic) 1944 at the village Rots near Caen. They were very brave soldiers and there were very hard fights hand to hand until we lost the village….with pleasure I send you a photo, taken the 27th of June 1944.…in Normandy on General Fritz Witt's last birthday. He died at Caen the 14th of June, 35 years old. Please….help that our people will understand one another better than it seemed during my last visit to England. We will have a good future only when we will defend the freedom of Europe together.' (4th December 1977), 'I am sorry that I can't send you any badges and so on. I lost nearly all my uniforms when I became POW' (18th January 1978), and in the final two letters making arrangements to meet his correspondent in Germany. Together with the signed 3 x 4.5 photograph referred to by Meyer in his first letter, the image showing Meyer and Witt standing outdoors together in full length poses, wearing their uniforms, and accompanied by an Alsatian dog. Signed by Meyer in blue fountain pen ink with his name alone to the image and annotated to the verso. The A.L.S. is accompanied by the original envelope. VG, 5 £100 - 120

BORMANN MARTIN: (1900-1945) Nazi Official, head of the Party Chancellery and Private Secretary to Adolf Hitler. T.L.S., Bormann, one page, 4to, Obersalzberg, 30th March 1937, to Regierungsbaumeister Michahelles in Berchtesgaden, in German. Bormann states that he has been observing the works being carried out in the Eagles Nest area and comments on there being no passing places provided for in the new road, and adding that he feels they are necessary. He also refers to boundary point 22 and some gravel pits and quarries. Boldly signed by Hitler in dark fountain pen ink at the foot and countersigned by Werner von Blomberg (1878-1946) German Field Marshal and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. On each side of the wreath are the initials A H. Hallmarked to the verso with the Bruckmann eagle and content marked with the crescent moon, crown and 800. The firm of Bruckmann, leading German silver manufacturers, produced various sets of cutlery for Adolf Hitler including their 'formal pattern', from which the present dinner spoon originates, apparently used by Hitler wherever he maintained a regular residence or offices where he might be called upon to entertain guests of the State.

Together with a page removed from the same autograph album individually signed by nine members of the England cricket team of 1938 comprising Wally Hammond, Ken Farnes, Maurice Leyland, Bill Bowes, Len Hutton, Eddie Paynter, Joe Hardstaff Jr., Bill Edrich and Arthur Fagg.
