1919 (May 22) Cover from Alor Star to England franked Straits 1c + 3c, only 1c and 4c Straits stamps valid in Kedah at this time, the 3c therefore invalid with the two stamps circled, treated as unpaid with a "T" handstamp applied, the Alor Star c.d.s away from the stamps. The stamps cancelled in transit in Singapore (May 24), a 1d charge mark applied in London and 1d due collected at Epsom, backstamped at Penang. An interesting and unusual cover.
