Click to view full image...Click to view full image... QEII STAMPS - 1967 SHIPS 2d - THE UNIQUE VERTICAL STRIP OF TEN WITH THE LOWER STAMP HAVING THE GREY-BLUE (HULL) OMITTED:1967 H.M.S. Carmania 2d second printing, a folded vertical strip of ten (to show rows 1 to 4 and 9 & 10) being the left vertical column of the sheet with full margins showing "249" sheet number at upper left and 1s 8d x 2 at top. The lowest stamp with GREY BLUE (HULL) OMITTED due to a massive upward shift (2.6 cm) of the grey-blue printing. This results in the nine stamps above having misplaced hulls below the ship and with an impression of the hull in the upper margin. Unmounted mint and believed to be a unique multiple. A stunning variety, and one of the most desirable errors of Gibraltar, with only six possible from the one sheet that existed. Especially important in this positional form. At least two strips have been broken and the variety sold as a single stamp. SG 202a £7,500+++ £4,000
