  AN ARTS & CRAFTS WALL HANGING ATTRIBUTED TO WALTER CRANE
A late C19th crewel worked embroidery of a galleon with the wind in its sails, the sun shining on the golden figure head, birds gliding above with the waves swirling below with a heart felt message 'So far So fast Warmed by the sun Youth sails before the Wind.' The golden coloured silk thread embroidered to a soft cream silk ground. Backed to a piece of gold coloured silk. (Good condition) 96" x 96" (1)

This large wall hanging tapestry has been hand loomed from wool in vivid colours portraying the German Medieval myth 'Hunting the Unicorn' copying the well known tapestries from the early 14th Century. The tapestry is in excellent condition, backed in cotton and hangs from a pole with finials. 73" x 46". (1)

  PATCHWORK QUILT FROM LORD RAGLAN'S DEATH BED
Packed in a cushion cover are two very intricate and delicate quilts. A large note says "This quilt was used during the Crimean War and was on the bed of Field Marshal Lord Raglan G.C.B when he died of cholera outside Sebastopol. Kindly loaned by Lord Raglan (Lord Lieutenant of Monmouthsire). The first quilt seems lighter, possibly used in the summer months. There is no lining or backing, some of the hexaganols have fallen away. 143cms x 163cms. The remaining silk hexagonal patchworks are in fair condition. The second quilt is heavier and hexagonal silk patches have been framed with brown velvet. 170cms x 162cms

A pair of antique gloves possibly 1700's, made from suede hand embroidered in satin stitch depicting roses. The glove is fastened at the wrist with a tiny brass bead and button hole. The cuff is lined in crimson silk and the suede decorated with embroidered roses. 11" long. The single grey suede glove is also early 1700's decorated in black work and fastened with a lace. The inside cuff is lined in black silk. 11" long. (2)

  A C19TH RETICULE, THIMBLE BAG & BEAD WORK JEWELLERY
A draw-string purse (no drawstrings) knitted from wool with daisies embroidered in green and yellow beads. The base is decorated in small red beads with a tassel. 3.5" x 4.5". The second thimble bag looks like a pineapple, knitted in green silk decorated in tiny white beads and a tassel of threads at the base. No draw-strings. 2" x 1.5". A set of beaded jewellery. (5)

A 18th Century plaited draw-string bag made from wrapped silver and gold threads, pink and green plaited and then crocheted. The draw-string is plaited red silk with four gold thread embroidered droppers. Inside the bag is a hand written note dated 1781 with a wax seal. 2.5" x 3". A further draw-string bag with tiny embroidered flowers, stems and leaves in pink, green, and cream on a blue, green and gold fine needle-worked net ground. The top is edged with needle-point flowers, a drawstring of green silk with 4 gold thread tassels and a group of tassels at the base. 4" x 3". (2)
