Provenance: The makers have kindly supplied the following information on the gun: "W W Greener gun no. 34905 was started in January 1893 and finished on 16th June of the same year. It is a Facile Princeps non-ejector shotgun, a 16 bore with 30 inch 'Best Damascus' barrels and weighing 6 lbs. It is a 'Best' gun being one grade below the 'Royal' and cost 45 guineas when originally sold. It was engraved by Perry and sold through our London House so we do not have the name of the original owner."
