[February/March 2010], to Blake Fielder-Civil, on the printed stationery of The Langham. Winehouse, writing in a slightly erratic hand, states, in full, 'If I wrote to you in rhymes, like songs, then I'd have done ten albums already (THEN! PLEASE GOD; HOPEFULLY) I'd have your baby kicking to come out of me! Lucky. Blake do ya remember being at K[ey] WEST and saying/praying and looking forward to a future of fixing each other? It didn't seem then that the notion of picking each other up off the floor is co-dependant like you say we have a tendency to be. Blake - I know you know how much I LOVE you………but - (I really don't like saying "but" - ) Blakels we don't have to see co dependency as a bad thing. FIX ME! Let me fix you - (it scared me when you first said it) - truth is?? We've ALWAYS looked after each other: ALWAYS. You bring me up, you make me better AND when you do that, I naturally look after you in turn. What would I do without you? Really? Cos that's what I've been thinking over the last 2 days. I love, need, and survive off you; I love you. Your Gemmalicious McCivil. I belong to you.' Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Winehouse. The letter is enhanced at various points by seven love hearts in the singer's hand. Rare. VG £1000 - 1200
At the end of February and beginning of March 2010 Winehouse took up residency in London's Langham Hotel while she waited to complete the purchase of her home in Camden.
The use of the name "Gemmalicious McCivil" in the letter is a twist on a nickname that Winehouse adopted, particularly at times when she wished to communicate anonymously with her husband through social media networks.
