France. 1911 (Sep 16) London to Windsor envelope proof with enclosed notepaper, both in an unissued green colour, curved flap, addressed to France franked KEVII 2½d, flown from Windsor to London with the Windsor code 2 c.d.s, St. Amiens Soult arrival backstamp (Sep 20). Some proofs were sold to the public and postally used when the standard envelopes began to run out, this example flown in the opposite direction to that stated on the envelope.
