The present photograph evidently dates from circa 1927-28, at the time of her first Wimbledon successes, before Wills married Frederick Moody in December 1929 and changed her signature to incorporate her married name.

Fry represented England at both cricket and football and made an FA Cup final appearance for Southampton FC as well as equalling the long jump world record of the time. Large signed colour 17.5 x 25 proof photograph, the image depicting Botham celebrating having taken a wicket at a match during the Ashes series of 1981. Sid O'Linn (1927- ) South African Cricketer who played in seven Test matches from 1960-61. O'Linn was also a talented footballer who played for Charlton Athletic in the English First Division, and who had also played for South Africa against Australia in 1947.

Additionally annotated in ink in an unidentified hand 'In celebration of an unbeaten partnership of 317 on 17/08/85 England v. Australia'. Some light age wear, otherwise VG £100 - 150
Provenance: The vendor was presented with the bottle following the match by cricket commentator Brian Johnston, who had obtained the signatures whilst the players were celebrating in the dressing room at Edgbaston.

Click to view full image... JONES ROBERT T.: (1902-1971) American Golfer, Open Champion 1926, 1927 & 1930 and American Open Champion 1923, 1926, 1929 & 1930. Bold blue fountain pen ink signature ('Robt. T. Jones Jr') and date, 21st June 1930, in his hand on a page contained in an autograph album. The album also includes seven signatures (most on clipped pieces and cards neatly laid down to pages) by other golfers and sportsmen including Ted Ray (Open Champion 1912), Abe Mitchell, Ernest Whitcombe, Archie Compston (all in pencil), A. P. F. Chapman etc. About VG £200 - 300
Jones won the 65th Open Championship which was held from the 18th - 20th June 1930 at Royal Liverpool Golf Club. It was his third Open Championship title and the present signature is dated just one day after his famous victory which took him on his way to the single-season Grand Slam, before retiring at the age of 28 and never competing in the Open Championship again. To date he remains the last amateur to have won the Open.
