This skeleton was issued to the temporary telegraph office at Chatsworth House during the five day visit of the King and Queen (Jan 4-8); it is only recorded on a few picture postcards sent by Barlerin. Sandringham. 1901 (Jan 1) Card with printed Sandringham heading and mourning border, reverse with KEVII 1d tied by single ring "SANDRINGHAM" c.d.s on the day of issue, a further strike alongside, unaddressed, minor staining at left edge away from the stamp and postmarks. The future King William IV served in the navy from 1780 to 1790; in 1790 he was Commander of H.M.S "Andromeda" in Barbados, which was accompanied by H.M.S "Bonetta". £80-100

Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII). c.1878 Undated letter on "Hildegarde, R.Y.S" notepaper, to Mrs Sparke inviting her to a pigeon shoot and enclosing a ticket obtained for her by Count Breteuil, signed Albert Edward, with the address "Mrs Astley Sparke, Hotel du Casino, Deauville" cut from the accompanying envelope. The "Hildegarde" was a schooner used by the Prince for racing in 1876-79. £100-120
