  MC winner's 1902 KSA both clasps to 4548 Corpl J. McWhannell 2nd Drgns contact marks, fine. John McWhannell's MC was announced in the London Gazette dated 27th July 1916 "For conspicuous gallantry. He led a party of eight NCOs and men into the enemy's trenches to reconnoitre, and inflicted loss on the enemy. Next night, when another reconnoitring patrol had failed owing to hostile fire, he went out alone to the enemy front line and brought back the required information. He has set a fine example." He landed France as SQMS 2nd Dragoons 17/8/14, was Mentioned in French's despatches dated 15th October 1915, was commissioned in 2nd Bn Wiltshire Regt 20/2/16 and died of wounds on 3rd July 1916 and is buried in Corbie Communal Cemetery Extension. Green (Major on Star, Col on pair) extremely fine, CB & CBE with Garrard boxes of issue. Sebert Francis St Davids Green's CB was announced in the London Gazette dated 1st January 1925 and his CBE 6th March 1919. Sold with 4 original MID certificates in LG 24/8/16, 2/11/17, 15/4/18 and 11/11/18, bestowal documents for CB and CBE, 1919 Swedish War Hospital certificate of appreciation and 1910 Inter-Divisional Manoeuvre Map (India). With copied research, he was born in 1868, appointed Surg-Lieut 29/1/94, MD Durham 1912, MB 1910, MRCS, LRCP 1892, Rawalpindi Command BG Hospital France & Mesopotamia 1914-16, ADMS Amara 1916, Mesop Exped Force 1917-18, DDMS Scott Command 1921-24, appointed Hon Physician to King 1/5/24, retired 20/12/27, died 1930.
