With some copied research, James Martin was born 3/1/1790, trained as a Physician in Edinburgh, LRCS Ed 1811, appointed Hospital Mate 12/2/12, Assistant Surgeon with 1st West India Regt Oct 1816, and the 5th Foot May 1817, retired on half pay 6/1/25, died in Edinburgh 10/2/75. One of only 8 Hospital Mates on the MGSM roll. Ex DNW 12/5/15 and 13/9/12. (See photo) (R) £2000

Baker Rl Warwick Regt (C.Sgt on QSA) very fine and better. Alfred Baker's DCM was announced in the London Gazette dated 27th September 1901. With 6 copied pages of service record and other copied research, enlisted 30/9/81 aged 19, served in India and Ceylon 1883-96, South Africa 24/11/99 to 10/8/01, then to Bermuda, discharged 20/12/02. He was slightly wounded in action at Belfast 25/8/00. One of only seven DCMs awarded to the Warwickshire Regt for the Boer War. (See photo) (R) £1500
