ACCEPTED FOR POSTAGE TO FRANCE WITH "MALTA/A25" DUPLEX; Very fine 22/23 June 1860 commercial EL from an Italian firm in Malta (blue oval cachet on the front) to Marseilles exceptionally franked by a France 1853-61 20c Bright Blue (good to wide margins except just into at top left) Tied by a very fine "A/MALTA/A25" Duplex with matching Malta oval "P.-D." and v. fine red 2-ring "POSS. ANG./A/MARSEILLE/1" cds alongside. This is not Mobile Box cover and so seems to be a genuine usage of the French stamp in Error for a British One.
