Little puffed shoulders with long fitted sleeves, gathered at the back. A pair of very fine yellow kid gloves dated circa 1828. A pair of Edwardian eau de nil slippers with leather soles. The cloak is a full circle with one back seam. The cloak is double lined for warmth with a soft red satin silk outer lining. Needs airing. See Illustration £100-150

Click to view full image... A LATE 1940'S EDWARD MOLYNEUX EVENING GOWN A plum red heavy vintage rayon dress made by the famous British fashion designer Edward Molyneux. The dress has a black guipure lace feature at the front following across the shoulders and down the back. The bodice is boned and fitted with pretty slightly rouched sleeves to give some puff and height. The skirt is full and falls into waves of pleats from a pulled in waist. The guipure lace has been repeated on the hips, accentuating the fullness of the skirt. The dress is fully lined with hook and eye fastenings down the side an inner belt and a further outer metal zip. The label is in the lining seam “Molyneux Modele 48 Grosvenor St London" Size 12.   A 1930'S BROCADE EVENING GOWN & GOLD LAME LACE COAT A classic 1930's bias cut brocade red and gold evening gown. The dress is gathered at the front, with an open strapped back, leading down to a full train. (There is some marking on the hem of the train). 29" waist. Also a gold lace dress/coat. The dress has a gold metal clasp holding the dress together at the neckline and again at the waistline. The clasp at the waist is also attached to a gold lace belt. The sleeves are slightly puffed, there is no lining. 24" waist. (2) £100-150

A black wool knitted lace wrap over blouse, no label. A green t-shirt with balloon sleeves labeled 'Biba'. And a further brown and blue stripe t-shirt, labeled but washed out. Click to view full image... A 1968 'BIBA' SATIN SKIRT SUIT WITH ANGEL-WING SLEEVES. This fabulous skirt and jacket were bought from Church Street in the early years of Biba. The jacket is made from dark mauve satin, fitted and fastened at the front with two hook and eyes and a long satin belt. The sleeves open into wide angel cuffs with horizontal satin stripes of dark mauve, bottle green, amethyst and bronze. 12" across the back. The skirt is high waisted in matching horizontal stripes. Fastened at the side with a zip. 26" waist. (2) (There are marks on skirt and top). See Illustration £100-150

  A LATE 1960'S RARE SAMPLE 'BIBA' TENT DRESS To include a red and mauve empire waisted tent dress, made from silk grosgrain. Apparently this was a sample dress, the only one of it's type ever made. Original buttons down the front, long sleeves with a line of fabric covered buttons at the cuff. Woven label 'Biba'. 161/2" underarm to underarm. A further brush cotton red tent dress, buttoned up to a high neck, with an empire waist, long sleeves and buttons at the cuffs. Woven label 'Biba'. 17" underarm to underarm.   LATE 1960'S BIBA SATIN DAMASK TROUSER SUIT & DRESS. These stunning, stylish outfits were bought in the late 1960's from Barbara Hulanicki's early shop in Church Street Kensington. The extremely elegant trouser suit is made from cobalt blue heavy silk damask, to include a pair of high waisted, flaired trousers with side metal zip. Size 4! The long coat is fitted around the body, buttoned down to a high waist falling gracefully to the ankle. The sleeves are fitted to above the elbow opening into Angel wings. Woven Label 'Biba'. 14" underarm to underarm. (a few marks, but has never been cleaned). A further heavy silk damask day dress, simple design, pulled in under the bust, short sleeves, long back zip. 30" across ribs. And a pretty matching layered cape with front ties. Woven label 'Biba'.
