A C19TH WOODEN SILK PRINTING BLOCK Part of a collection of textile printing blocks belonging to David Evans & Co., the last remaining hand-block printer in London, which closed down in around 1887. Worked in brass bar work with a plaid design formed in narrow strips of varying lengths. 25.5 cm * 24 cm., mid 19th century. £100-120

A EARLY C20TH FRAMED BURMESE TEXTILE PICTURE. This enchanting textile picture was probably a wedding gift, reflecting the marriage of a Burmese couple. The picture has been worked throughout with gold and silver couch work along with silver sequins on a black ground. The picture shows a couple in ceremonial Burmese dress appliqued to the black ground, surrounded with architectural pillars, birds, foliage and youngsters at the base. 49" x 30.5" £200-250

SIX FRAMED KUNA APPLIQUE PANELS FROM PANAMA Early 20th Century embroideries. The Kuna tribe originally painted their bodies in these patterns, until the Missionaries arrived.
