Collections and Ranges

2930
This outstanding collection has been built up over the past forty years, which is immediately obvious, not only by the comprehensive nature of the collection but also the numerous low requisition numbers, including several from the first sheet, "001".The ambitious objective was to acquire an example of each possible value from all of the requisitions. The lack of availability and difficulty in acquiring these blocks means that the target of completing the set has become extremely remote. The owner feels that now is the time for other collectors to have the opportunity of adding some of these interesting, and occasionally elusive, stamps to their own collections. Please also see further items under Postage Dues and British Post Offices in ChinaMore information about these requisitions, please refer to PHILATELIC EXTRACTS at the end of this catalogue
