Click to view full image... 1911 500cc Humber 2 speed
Reg. No. MX 2514
Frame No. None issued
Engine No. 2096
This most uncommon pioneer Humber has been in the same family ownership since 1959 when George Goodall of Goodall Motorcycles in Epsom, Surrey came into possession, he signed the Humber over to his rider W B Ridley who represented the business in various motorcycle events. In 1966 his brother William Goodall had his name on the buff logbook until 1973 when his son took custodianship. Last ridden in 1972 the Humber has remained hidden from sight ever since and still retains the 1972 tax disc, the frame has very recently been hand painted black (in situ).
With its 2 speed Roc gearbox and 'Town & Country' exhaust settings the Humber is as it was manufactured apart from the exhaust downpipe apparatus which was fitted for practical cooling purposes and still retains its wooden handlebar grips stamped with the Registered Design number along with the crank handle which fits to the rear wheel for starting. Originally on the Humber Register and the Pioneer Register which has recently been confirmed by the Sunbeam MCC who state that the bike is number 218 on the register and never had a frame number, it was unrestored when submitted in 1958 by a Mr Castleman. A new certificate should be readily obtainable from the club registrar Mr J Waghorne. MX 2514 was a regular on Pioneer runs during the 1960s and 70s as well as the Banbury run and a host of plaques and medals from that period will be included in the sale of this venerable machine along with a buff logbook (1945-1967) old V5 and current V5C.
Estimate: £12,000 - £14,000

Reg. No. 726 GUC
Frame No. 48570412
Engine No. T100 016769
The slimline featherbed framed Triton was a private purchase in 2009 from an acquaintance in St Ives Cambridgeshire and has seen selected use by its mature owner. A recent 120 mile round trip to Hunstanton was stated to be incident free with the Triton performing well but the spine of the Senior Citizen rider was found to be no longer clip-on friendly! The Triton is fitted with new tyres, has a 12V system with the battery contained in the seat hump, a new carb' was fitted at purchase along with a new clutch and distributor. A clean, well put together and cared for machine that started first prod on inspection and sounded marvellous through the twin Gold Star style silencers. Stated to be an easy starting bike it is expected to be ridden to the sale and will be supplied with a centre stand and bolts, current MOT and V5C documentation.
Estimate £5,500 - £7,000

Reg. No. SVG 893
Frame No. A50 426
Engine No. A65 428
Dressed in black this A65 is stated to be definitely in its working clothes and to be an original unrestored example that both runs and drives well. The vendor states that new tyres would be wise and it will be a moot point as to whether to cosmetically restore or to leave in oily rag condition. The frame and engine number suggest that this Star is in the first 350 of production and it is offered for sale with V5C documentation.
Estimate: £2,000 - £3,000

Reg. No. N/A
Frame No. DM250 85969
Engine No. DM250 82627
Originally purchased for racing and sent to Rick Walker in 1995 for a full engine rebuild and racing tune, due to the owners rider pulling out the bike has remained unused ever since. Documentation supplied shows that amongst the work carried out was the fitting of a Borgo forged piston, Carillo rod, new big end, ported head, solid rockers and new valves and springs, all costs are shown. The Daytona is fitted with a Veglia rev' counter, aluminium wheel rims, a long distance aluminium fuel tank and racing seat, also supplied is the unused and new single piece Ducati fairing in red (what else?). The original registration number AFP 194A has been transferred to another vehicle but the old style V5 is present and may assist in obtaining an age related number if putting this racer on the road is the aim, a letter from Roy Bacon confirming the frame and engine numbers against the date will also assist. The vendor reports that the Ducati starts and runs and appears to 'pull well'. Offered for sale with a quantity of bills and receipts for work carried out and the old style V5 (not valid)

Requiring re-commissioning prior to use the Darmah is supplied with a Haynes manual, a Dell Orto manual, the previously mentioned paperwork, old V5 and current V5C.

Reg. No. JU 6290 (expired)
Frame No. E1 3338
Engine No. E2 1986
A wonderful oily rag example of the pre-war OHV 250 that has been in the shed since 1971. The vendor purchased the B2 from a lucky man who'd inherited it but wanted something more modern, hence the deal was done, some fettling to the carb' and controls followed but a lack of enthusiasm from the magneto means that the engine remains unfired at present. Stated to be in a free turning condition and apparently totally untouched and very original, a continuation buff logbook is happily present. The logbook chronicles just two owners who appear to be the last and maybe the only two and covers the period 1947 - 60, both owners being in Hinckley, Leicestershire, this will be an invaluable document along with the 1971 tax disc in perhaps retaining the original registration number. An untouched, hand change, girder fork, pre war OHV BSA, a rare find.
Estimate £3,500 - £4,000
