Original Comic Strip Art Work. A series of 10 A3 card sheets featuring the extremely accomplished original art work vignettes for a series entitled ' The Adventures of Micky and His Terrier-Dog' by an artist whose name appears to be J.H. Neagle. Most of the cards have four rows of three vignettes ( drawn and framed in pen and ink ), each with finished speech 'bubbles' or with pencilled drafts underneath. Although the work is extremely professionally accomplished it has not yet been possible to identify the artist or the publication for which it was intended; the illustrations suggest a period in the 1930s/40s and may have been prepared for a local newspaper, magazine or other publication. Housed in an art folder. Very good, near fine, clean and bright. Estimate £30 - £40
