This copy being the Fifty Fourth dated 15th March 1919 is presented to Lt. Col. H.D.E O'Sullivan RM". Ornate stiffened card covers with the issued set of stamps opposite the title page all within ornate background and borders, an introduction, 22 pages of text and twelve coloured plates with 87 illustrations of unadopted and adopted designs, and a fold out appendix "Table of Stamp Issues" showing the dates of initial printing and subsequent reprints, quantities printed and perforations or roulettes used. 200 Individually numbered copies were printed by the Survey of Egypt and Government Press in Cairo but many have been lost or broken up, others are in libraries and institutions and many have had the named inscription pages removed.
