German Imperial Navy Marine Artillery Officer's sword and scabbard by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co, pipe backed slightly curved blade 60% ornately etched with 1 side with crossed cannon & cutlass surmounted by a compass/Imperial crown over fouled anchor/Imperial eagle/dreadnought style battleship, other side with cannon, crossed paddles & cutlass surmounted by globe/crossed flags/Imperial crown over fouled anchor/crossed cannons/sailing ship, tang with makers mark crowned king and knight over W.K&C, fold down locking guard named in script "Dedlow", folding clamshell guard with Imperial crown over fouled anchor, lion head pommel with red and green glass eyes, bone/ivory handle with twisted wire decoration, blade with some pitting towards the point, rest of blade is extremely fine, handle with odd light crack, top strand of wire on handle partly missing, black leather scabbard with brass throat, middle band and chape, 2 rings, scabbard twice folded and nearly parted between throat and middle band.
