RARE NICOLE FRERES MUSIC BOX - PIANO FORTE OVERTURE an unusual Nicole Freres music box, circa 1850. With a 4 air mechanism, with a drop down flap on one side to reveal 3 brass levers and the winding hole. With a 13ins. (33cms) long cylinder, triple stamped by Nicole Freres and marked with the number 36792 (also marked with the same number on the songsheet plaque and on the base of the case). With a silver/silver plated plaque on the inside of the lid, marked 4 Ouvertures Piano Forte Gme 1713, 36792, with a list of 4 overtures including Rossini & Mozart, Hurt Et Wray A Birmingham.
